•Large Body: 2 disks 3½˝/ 1⅝˝ (9cm/4cm) or Small Body: 2 disks 2¾˝/ 1¼˝ (7cm/3cm)

Preparation

Construct the templates as described in Techniques. You can also find a detailed explanation of pom-pom making basics there, as well as how to read the winding pattern. Always use eight strands of the teddy yarn. Use two strands of the faux fur yarn. You can find different information for the small rabbits in brackets in the instructions.

Head

1st–2nd Layers: Start with teddy yarn in light gray [beige] and wrap the disks three times [twice]. Work the rest with faux fur yarn [teddy yarn in light gray].

3rd–5th Layers: From now on, work around the layers entirely with faux fur [teddy yarn in light gray]. For reference, before starting the 3rd layer, be sure to insert a pin at the snout (small X on the winding pattern). Wrap until the opening in the center of the disks is completely full, about three layers [two layers].

6th Layer: In the last layer, wrap the disks tightly three times [once] with teddy yarn in beige, as shown for the light eye spot. The pin acts as a reference and helps mark the right spot. Cut the threads according to the steps in Techniques, and tie off the pom-pom.
